Raptors Reaction: Nov 6 @ Oklahoma City Thunder

Some thoughts after the Raptors' embarrassing 108-88 loss to the Thunder:
  • First, this was a horrible loss. Sure, the Raptors were going against one of the best teams in the league, but they just got out-classed the entire game. It's not even like Russell Westbrook or Kevin Durant had huge games. No, it was Serge Ibaka, Thabo Sefolosha and Hasheem Thabeet that combined to take the Thunder to a win...
  • Of course, the biggest story from this game was the injury to Kyle Lowry. He rolled his ankle in the second quarter, has been ruled out for tonight's game in Dallas. This is huge for the Raps. If Lowry ends up missing a big chunk of time, Toronto loses any hope of reaching the playoffs.
  • Is it me, or does Andrea Bargnani look like he's taken a step backwards in his development this year? I thought he at least tried on defense, and attempted a post-up every now and then last season. Not so much in early 2012-13.
  • Landry Fields is the first Raptor in my dog-house. He has been awful so far. Once in a while Dwayne Casey tries to post Fields up, and it's a disaster every time. He is almost an anti-threat on offense. Check this out...
  • DeMar DeRozan also had a bad night: 2-for-10 from the field, and a -27 point differential.
  • Once again, the Raptors' bench players were awful. I'm going to drive this point until I see someone step up for the second unit.
  • As mentioned, Hasheem Thabeet had a nice game against Toronto, joining Roy Hibbert and Brook Lopez as a traditional center who bullied the Raptors' bigs. Toronto is going to have to find an answer for this type of big-man going forward.
  • This happened. Welcome to the league, Jonas. It's a shame that Valanciunas' best game as a pro (so far) was marred by Kevin Durant. At the same time, it was awesome.
Up Next: Tonight @ Dallas
