Hitting the Links: December 5 2012

The best on-field links of the night:
  • Kevin Durant and Russel Westbrook were a two-man team in Oklahoma City's 117-111 win in Brooklyn. They scored a combined 57 points on 18-for-33 shooting. Also, Durant just missed throwing down a dunk-of-the-year candidate
  • The Rockets followed the lead of the Lakers' last few opponents, and intentionally put Dwight Howard on the foul-line in the 4th quarter of their 107-105 win. Kobe had a big night, yet Greg Smith was probably the player-of-the-game, coming out of nowhere to put up 21 points and at least one sweet block.
  • The Wizards beat LeBron's Heat 105-101 in Washington, providing more proof that the Mayans were right. LBJ put up a triple-double in a losing effort.
  • Zach Randolph went off, putting up 38 points and 22 rebounds in an overtime win over the Suns.
  • It was a relatively straight forward night in NCAA hoops, as every ranked team won. The game-of-the-night definitely was #25 NC State holding on for a 69-65 win over UConn.
The best outside-the-lines stories:
  • Jim Harbaugh has received some criticism for his handling of the San Francisco quarterback situation. But how can anyone hate on him too hard? I mean, the dude was on Saved By The Bell!
  • Eddy Curry may not be in the NBA anymore, but at least he has a hilarious clothing line. You're right, Eddy. Animals are just as dope as people!
  • Nick Lachey had a rough go at the Chargers-Bengals game on Sunday.
